Consultant Cards Acquiring & Merchant Business Transformation

About the Role

E-Solutions is seeking a Consultant, Cards Acquiring & Merchant Business Transformation, to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role focuses on driving business growth, enhancing revenue, and improving operational excellence within the Cards Acquiring ecosystem. The consultant will be responsible for optimizing the entire merchant lifecycle, from acquisition and onboarding to settlement and dispute management.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify new revenue opportunities through value-added services, payment solutions, and strategic merchant partnerships.
• Streamline merchant onboarding processes, including KYC, risk assessment, and compliance controls, to reduce turnaround times.
• Optimize merchant setup workflows, enhancing automation and improving SLA adherence during implementation.
• Lead initiatives to improve merchant support and service quality, establishing service metrics and reducing complaints.
• Assess and optimize settlement and reconciliation processes to minimize delays, exceptions, and financial leakage.
• Ensure adherence to Visa, Mastercard, RuPay, and acquiring regulations, reviewing chargeback and dispute management frameworks.
• Conduct process assessments across People, Process, Technology, and Risk, delivering automation and digitization initiatives.

Merchant Lifecycle Optimization

This role involves comprehensive management of the merchant lifecycle, focusing on continuous improvement across all stages. This includes optimizing merchant acquisition, onboarding, setup, servicing, settlement, reconciliation, and dispute resolution processes to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

Operational Excellence and Compliance

• Improve first-time-right onboarding and activation rates for merchants.
• Standardize operating procedures and governance controls for merchant setup.
• Establish service metrics, operational dashboards, and performance governance for merchant support.
• Strengthen operational controls and regulatory compliance in settlement processes.
• Identify fraud prevention and risk mitigation opportunities.
• Define KPIs, MIS, and executive dashboards for performance monitoring.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in Cards Acquiring and Merchant Business Transformation.
• Demonstrated ability to drive business growth and revenue expansion.
• Experience in optimizing end-to-end merchant lifecycle processes.
• Strong understanding of payment solutions, merchant partnerships, and market expansion strategies.
• Proficiency in risk assessment, compliance controls, and dispute management frameworks.
