About the Role

Elm Company is seeking a Consultant to support its Corporate Venture Capital activities in Riyadh. This full-time role focuses on identifying, evaluating, and managing strategic investment opportunities that align with Elm’s business objectives and innovation priorities. The Consultant will contribute to generating strategic and financial value from startup investments and innovation ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities

Develop investment theses focused on markets, technologies, and sectors strategically relevant to Elm.
Conduct market research and industry analysis to identify emerging opportunities and innovation trends.
Identify and assess startup and venture investment opportunities aligned with investment objectives.
Prepare investment cases, business evaluations, and supporting materials for investment reviews and approvals.
Coordinate and support commercial, operational, financial, and technical due diligence activities.
Support the management of relationships with portfolio companies to maximize strategic and financial value.
Collaborate with business units to ensure alignment before and after investment activities.
Prepare performance reports, investment updates, and portfolio summaries for management and investment committees.
Follow all relevant departmental policies, processes, standard operating procedures, and instructions.
Comply with all relevant safety, quality, environmental management, and information security policies and standards.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience. The position requires a professional who can conduct investment analysis, due diligence, venture assessment, and provide portfolio management support. Strong analytical skills and the ability to coordinate with various stakeholders are essential.

Required Skills and Abilities

Ability to develop financial models, investment assumptions, and strategic assessments.
Proficiency in assessing risks, opportunities, dependencies, and growth potential associated with investment opportunities.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
Capability to monitor portfolio company performance, milestones, and business developments.
Aptitude for developing strategic relationships within the startup ecosystem.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh. The Consultant will work within Elm Company’s Corporate Venture Capital team, engaging with both internal business units and external startup ecosystems.
