CyberSecurity Consultant Banking GRC

About the Role

DXC Technology is seeking a Cybersecurity Consultant with practical experience in cybersecurity governance, risk, and regulatory compliance. This full-time role supports a banking engagement, focusing on assessing controls, identifying gaps, and facilitating remediation within financial institutions.

Role Context

The consultant will operate independently to conduct cybersecurity assessments and support the implementation and tracking of remediation efforts. The position requires direct experience in applying cybersecurity regulatory frameworks specifically within banking or other financial sector environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct cybersecurity compliance assessments, review evidence, and identify control gaps.
• Develop remediation plans with clear priorities, owners, and timelines, and track actions through closure.
• Collaborate with business, IT, and cybersecurity teams to implement controls and validate their effectiveness.
• Develop and update cybersecurity policies, standards, procedures, and control matrices.
• Perform cybersecurity risk assessments and maintain risk registers and treatment plans.
• Prepare management reports, compliance dashboards, and documentation to support regulatory reporting.
• Support audits and regulatory reviews through evidence collection, control walkthroughs, and responses to findings.
• Coordinate with senior management and control owners to resolve compliance gaps.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant cybersecurity role. The ideal candidate is a delivery-focused consultant with practical banking compliance experience.
