Cybersecurity Operations Specialist

About the Role

Hays is seeking a Cybersecurity Operations Specialist for a contract position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role focuses on managing and operating enterprise security technologies and controls designed to protect endpoints, user devices, and organizational data. The specialist will administer endpoint security solutions, enforce security baselines, and manage data protection controls, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements such as the SAMA Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) and National Cybersecurity Authority (NCA) regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and administer Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions for laptops, desktops, and mobile devices.
• Administer and maintain Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms, ensuring full coverage, availability, and health monitoring.
• Monitor endpoint security posture and ensure compliance across all managed devices.
• Coordinate with Security Operations Centers (SOC) and Managed Security Service Providers (MSSP) regarding endpoint security alerts, investigations, and incident response activities.
• Implement and maintain endpoint and server hardening standards based on CIS Benchmarks or equivalent frameworks.
• Track remediation of security vulnerabilities, non-compliant configurations, and endpoint risks.
• Manage and maintain Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, including policy creation, rule tuning, incident monitoring, and exception management.
• Operate and maintain data classification and watermarking solutions, enforcing information classification and data handling standards.
• Administer, monitor, and optimize security technologies such as EDR, DLP, MDM, and Email Security Gateway solutions.
• Work closely with IT Infrastructure teams to ensure secure configurations are implemented and maintained.
• Support cybersecurity incident investigations and response activities.
• Maintain security tool documentation, standard operating procedures, and technical configurations.
• Prepare security reports and compliance evidence for internal and external stakeholders, supporting SAMA and NCA audit requirements.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• 3-5+ years of experience in Cybersecurity Operations, Endpoint Security, Security Engineering, or a similar role.
• Hands-on experience with endpoint security, device management, and data protection technologies.
• Experience working within regulated environments such as banking, financial services, fintech, or government sectors is highly preferred.

Technical Skills and Expertise

• Proficiency in managing and administering Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions.
• Expertise in Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) platforms.
• Strong understanding and implementation of endpoint and server hardening standards (*, CIS Benchmarks).
• Experience with Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solutions, including policy creation and incident monitoring.
• Familiarity with data classification and watermarking solutions.
• Knowledge of Email Security Gateway solutions.

Compliance and Collaboration

• Ability to ensure compliance with security baselines, configuration standards, and regulatory requirements (SAMA CSF, NCA).
• Experience supporting security assessments, audits, and compliance initiatives.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with SOC/MSSP teams and IT Infrastructure teams.
• Capability to provide technical support and evidence during audits, assessments, and compliance reviews.
