About the Role

Master Works is seeking a Data Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves building and operating a scalable, secure, and reliable data platform that supports analytics, data science, and various downstream applications. The position requires 5-10 years of experience in data engineering.

Role Overview

The Data Engineer will focus on designing core data infrastructure, developing tooling, and implementing self-service capabilities. This work aims to empower internal teams to manage and utilize data efficiently and securely within the organization.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain the data platform and core data infrastructure.
Develop reusable, self-service data pipelines and platform services for internal teams.
Implement data orchestration, observability, and monitoring across the platform.
Ensure data quality, integrity, and reliability across systems.
Define and enforce data platform standards, best practices, and architectural patterns.
Integrate data from multiple sources, including APIs, databases, and streaming systems.
Manage and optimize data storage solutions such as data warehouses and data lakes.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements.
Monitor, troubleshoot, and improve the performance of data workflows.
Implement best practices for data security, governance, and compliance.
Document data architecture, pipelines, and processes.

Qualifications and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Strong experience in building and operating data platforms or large-scale data systems.
Advanced SQL proficiency and strong programming skills in Python, Java, or Scala.
Extensive experience with Informatica (PowerCenter, Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services, or similar tools).
Experience with data orchestration tools such as Airflow, Dagster, or Prefect.
Solid understanding of data lake, data warehouse, and Lakehouse architectures.
Experience with infrastructure-as-code (*, Terraform).
