The Role: MSSQL Database Administrator

2P Perfect Presentation is seeking an experienced MSSQL Database Administrator to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role requires extensive hands-on expertise in Microsoft SQL Server, core database administration, High Availability (HA), and Disaster Recovery (DR) environments. The successful candidate will contribute to maintaining robust and efficient database systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage, configure, and maintain Microsoft SQL Server databases across multiple environments.
• Ensure database performance, security, stability, and scalability.
• Manage and maintain High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) configurations.
• Perform regular database backups, restores, and recovery operations.
• Troubleshoot complex database issues and optimize SQL Server performance.
• Monitor database systems and proactively address performance and availability issues.
• Plan and execute database upgrades, migrations, patching, and maintenance activities.
• Implement and maintain database policies, standards, and best practices.
• Troubleshoot issues within Cluster and DR environments.
• Collaborate with application and infrastructure teams to support critical business systems.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 10 years of hands-on experience in core database administration.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience with Microsoft SQL Server and database administration.
• Strong troubleshooting experience in Cluster and DR environments.
• Proven experience with High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Knowledge of Oracle Administration is considered a plus.

Preferred Certifications

Candidates with relevant certifications are encouraged to apply. Preferred certifications include:

• MCSA: Windows Server 2016
• MCSA: Office 365
• MCSE: Productivity
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate
• MCSA: SQL Database Administration
• Equivalent certifications may also be considered.
