About the Internship

Tabby | تابي is offering a DataOps Intern position in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, paid internship designed for early-career engineers seeking to work with real production infrastructure. The program is six months long, starting in autumn 2026, and aims to provide a path to a junior role on the platform side.

Role Context

The Data Platform team at Tabby manages the infrastructure supporting AI, ML, and data workloads. This includes compute, orchestration, deployment, observability, and cost control across cloud environments. The role involves working at the intersection of DevOps and machine learning, ensuring that clusters, pipelines, and monitoring systems support both service operations and model training, serving, and measurement. This is an engineering role with direct responsibilities, not a shadowing program.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with cloud infrastructure, primarily GCP, and bare-metal fleets hosting data, ML, and AI workloads.
• Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines for services and models.
• Run and troubleshoot containerized workloads on Kubernetes.
• Set up and improve monitoring, alerting, and logging systems, and act on the insights they provide.
• Automate repetitive operational tasks using Python or Bash.
• Support model training and inference workloads, including environments, resources, deployment, and cost management.
• Investigate incidents in infrastructure and pipelines to identify root causes.
• Improve the reliability and cost efficiency of the platform.
• Work within SAMA regulatory requirements, addressing data residency and access as part of the engineering solution.

Technologies and Tools

Interns will work with the following technologies and tools. Prior knowledge of all is not expected:

• Data: CDC pipelines, BigQuery, Airflow
• ML: Airflow, ClearML, and similar orchestration and experiment tooling
• AI: Bare-metal GPU servers, vLLM, in-house served open-source models
• Platform: GCP, Kubernetes, Linux, networking
• Context: SAMA regulations

Eligibility and Requirements

• Saudi nationals only.
• Current students and recent graduates are welcome to apply.
• Comfortable with Linux and cloud environments.
• Demonstrated use of AI tools in personal work.
• Expectation of a full-time level of engagement, ownership, and involvement. Students can coordinate class or exam schedules with their mentor in advance.
