About Mace and the Riyadh Stadium Projects

Mace combines construction expertise with consultancy to deliver strategic project management for significant infrastructure. In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Mace is providing consultancy services for major new build stadiums, multiple stadium redevelopments, and wider precinct transformations. This full-time role is integral to projects focused on increasing existing stadia capacity, delivering major mixed-use amenities, and ensuring long-term operational excellence through robust knowledge transfer.

The Role of Design Manager (Stadiums)

The Design Manager (Stadiums) leads the implementation of design management systems across all project phases. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance, driving value delivery, and fostering continuous improvement. The role involves providing strategic leadership to design teams and approving consultant appointments, ensuring alignment with governance frameworks and client expectations for these complex stadium and precinct developments.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the safe, compliant, and sustainable delivery of design, promoting quality, well-being, and operational excellence.
Guide design management teams to achieve strategic objectives, project outcomes, and performance targets.
Oversee design management systems to ensure compliance with statutory, contractual, and business requirements.
Foster collaboration, innovation, and knowledge sharing while supporting client relationships and business growth.
Supervise design delivery to align with business plan targets and budget.
Guide teams to ensure stakeholder needs and governance standards are met.
Present Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and support business development initiatives.
Drive collaboration, innovation, and carbon reduction through a center of excellence and reach-back resources.
