About the Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a Director of Finance to serve as the strategic financial business leader for its property in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract position is responsible for championing, developing, and implementing property-wide strategies that deliver products and services designed to meet or exceed the needs and expectations of the brand’s target customer and property employees. The Director of Finance provides essential financial expertise to ensure the successful implementation of the brand service strategy and initiatives, while simultaneously maximizing the return on investment.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to improve profit, including cost/benefit analysis and exploration of new business opportunities.
• Analyze financial information, forecast sales against expenses, and create annual budget plans.
• Monitor actual sales against projected sales and analyze variances in budget wages for efficient planning.
• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan aligned with company and brand strategic direction.
• Provide ongoing analytical support by monitoring operating department sales and producing accurate forecasts.
• Implement and maintain a system of appropriate controls to manage business risks and ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment.
• Utilize interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence teams, advocating for sound financial decision-making.
• Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
• Advise the General Manager and executive committee on existing and evolving operating and financial issues.
• Manage property working capital and cash flow in accordance with brand standards and owner requirements.
• Ensure accurate documentation of Profits and Losses, timely submission of reports, and compliance with tax regulations.
• Generate and provide accurate and timely financial reports and presentations.
• Ensure compliance with management contracts, reporting requirements, and standard operating procedures.
• Participate in human resource activities, including cross-training, orientation, performance reviews, and development plans for team members.

Strategic Planning and Decision Making

This role requires a leader who can think creatively and practically to develop, execute, and implement new business plans. The Director of Finance will provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost-saving and productivity opportunities for property managers, ensuring the safeguarding of assets and improvement of operations and profitability. The position involves analyzing financial data and market trends to inform strategic decisions and drive desirable financial results.

Stakeholder Engagement

The Director of Finance will engage with key stakeholders, including owners and corporate teams, to understand priorities and strategic focus. This involves communicating financial concepts clearly and persuasively to drive desired behaviors and demonstrating a strong understanding of cash flow and owner priorities. Effective management of communication with owners is a critical aspect of this role.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in finance leadership.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and influence others through strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proven experience in strategic financial planning, budget management, and risk control.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and market trends.
• Commitment to honesty and integrity in all financial and business decision-making.
