Role Summary

The Director of Finance functions as the strategic financial business leader for the property in Riyadh. This full-time role involves developing and implementing property-wide strategies to meet brand and customer expectations. The position provides financial expertise to support brand service strategies and initiatives, aiming to maximize return on investment. The Director of Finance will create and execute a business plan aligned with property and brand strategies, focusing on financial activities and achieving desired financial results. This role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop strategies to improve profit, including cost/benefit analysis and exploring new business opportunities.
• Analyze information, forecast sales against expenses, and create annual budget plans.
• Compile, analyze, and monitor actual sales against projected sales, and analyze differences between actual and forecasted wages for budget planning.
• Create the annual operating budget for the property and provide analytical support during budget reviews to identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Implement appropriate controls to manage business risks and ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment.
• Lead the development and implementation of a comprehensive annual business plan aligned with company and brand strategy.
• Provide ongoing analytical support by monitoring operating department sales and producing accurate forecasts.
• Lead and influence finance teams, advocating for sound financial decision-making and demonstrating integrity.
• Oversee internal, external, and regulatory audit processes.
• Attend meetings with owners, understand priorities, and advise the General Manager and executive committee on financial issues.
• Manage property working capital and cash flow in accordance with brand standards and owner requirements.
• Ensure accurate documentation of Profits and Losses and monitor applicable taxes.
• Submit timely reports and develop performance and budget goals.
• Generate accurate and timely reports and presentations, and reconcile balance sheets.
• Ensure compliance with management contracts, reporting requirements, and operating procedures.
• Ensure team members are cross-trained, administer property policies fairly, and facilitate new hire orientation and training.
• Create development plans for team members and conduct performance reviews.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in finance, preferably within the hospitality sector.
• Demonstrated ability to engage in strategic planning and decision-making.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills to lead and influence teams and stakeholders.
• Proficiency in financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Understanding of cash flow management and owner priorities.
