LPort is building a service in Riyadh that enables passengers to complete check-in and baggage acceptance at their home or hotel, hours before travel. This initiative aims to eliminate the need for passengers to carry their bags to the airport. The company is currently hiring its launch team for this new service.

The Role: Duty Manager

LPort is seeking to hire two Duty Managers for a full-time, on-site role based in Riyadh. This position is responsible for overseeing daily airport service operations and ensuring high-quality traveler experiences. Duty Managers will be among the first in the Kingdom to manage a check-in operation outside the terminal, working on airline systems and establishing operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise front-line staff and monitor service delivery at key touchpoints.
• Resolve operational issues in real time and manage schedules.
• Coordinate with internal teams, airline partners, and airport stakeholders to maintain smooth passenger flows.
• Approve the daily operating plan and allocate personnel, vehicles, and equipment based on confirmed bookings, flight schedules, and operating volume.
• Oversee the readiness of sites, vehicles, systems, and equipment throughout the shift.
• Monitor service performance against agreed service levels and acceptance cut-off times, addressing any shortfalls in resources or capability.
• Review exceptions and incidents, implement corrective actions, and approve shift reports and performance indicators.
• Make decisions in exceptional operational situations, including irregular operations.
• Manage and escalate incidents in accordance with approved procedures.
• Track open cases through to resolution or structured handover to the following shift.
• Act as the operational point of contact for airlines, airport authorities, security, and ground handling providers during the shift.
• Ensure compliance with airline procedures, the Security Operations Manual, standard operating procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.
• Support continuous improvement by gathering feedback, recommending process enhancements, and training team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and manage daily operations.
• Experience in monitoring performance metrics and implementing service standards.
• Familiarity with incident reporting and compliance with safety and security procedures.
