DAR AL OMRAN is seeking a qualified and experienced Electrical Design Engineer to join its consultancy team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position.

Role Overview

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for developing electrical designs for building projects. This role involves ensuring compliance with applicable codes, standards, client requirements, and project specifications, while contributing to the successful delivery of projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong experience in electrical design within engineering consultancy projects, with expertise in electrical systems, design calculations, technical documentation, and multidisciplinary coordination.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop electrical design calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports for various projects.
• Design electrical systems, including power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, grounding, lightning protection, fire alarm, ELV, and security systems.
• Perform electrical engineering calculations, such as load assessments, short-circuit studies, voltage-drop analysis, and cable sizing.
• Prepare load schedules, single-line diagrams, panel schedules, and equipment layouts.
• Develop comprehensive electrical drawings, schematics, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Coordinate electrical designs with architectural, structural, mechanical, and other engineering disciplines.
• Respond to technical queries, support site teams, and review contractor submittals and proposals for compliance with the design intent.
• Ensure all design work complies with applicable electrical codes, standards, and client requirements.
• Contribute to design reviews, quality checks, project planning, and fee or proposal submissions.
• Support and guide junior engineers and CAD/BIM team members.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in electrical design within engineering consultancy projects.
• Expertise in electrical systems, design calculations, and technical documentation.
• Proficiency in multidisciplinary coordination.
• Familiarity with relevant electrical codes, standards, and industry best practices.

This position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
