Electrical Inspector

About the Role

AECOM is seeking a detail-oriented and professional Electrical Inspector to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves conducting comprehensive inspections of electrical installations and systems to ensure full compliance with Saudi electrical codes and international safety standards. The Electrical Inspector will collaborate with contractors, engineers, and project teams to uphold high standards of electrical safety and quality on construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough inspections of electrical installations, systems, and equipment to verify compliance with Saudi Building Code (SBC), SASO standards, and international safety requirements.
• Analyze electrical drawings, plans, and specifications to identify potential issues and ensure proper implementation before work commences.
• Perform electrical testing using specialized equipment and diagnostic tools, documenting all test results and findings in detailed inspection reports.
• Identify code violations, safety hazards, and deficiencies, communicating corrective actions clearly to relevant stakeholders.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, contractors, and site teams to resolve electrical issues and ensure timely project progression.
• Supervise electrical contractors and workers on-site, ensuring strict adherence to safety protocols, quality standards, and project specifications.
• Maintain organized and comprehensive records of all inspections, test results, certifications, and compliance documentation.
• Provide professional recommendations for electrical system improvements and safety enhancements based on analytical findings.
• Communicate inspection findings clearly to project teams and management, ensuring all parties understand compliance status.
• Stay current with evolving electrical codes, regulations, and industry best practices in Saudi Arabia and the region.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in electrical inspection or a related field.
• Demonstrated understanding of Saudi electrical codes, SASO standards, and international safety requirements.
• Proficiency in analyzing electrical drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Experience with electrical testing equipment and diagnostic tools.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis. The position requires collaboration with various project stakeholders in a dynamic construction environment.
