Electrical Technical Office Engineer

About the Role

Alqotr is seeking an Electrical Technical Office Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves preparing and reviewing electrical designs and drawings for various projects, ensuring compliance with technical specifications and applicable codes. The role focuses on providing efficient and cost-effective engineering solutions while coordinating with multiple disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review electrical designs in accordance with project requirements, technical specifications, and applicable codes and standards.
• Design electrical systems including Lighting, Power, and Cable Routing.
• Prepare and design Low Current / ELV systems, such as Fire Alarm, Public Address, Structured Cabling, and CCTV.
• Prepare and review Shop Drawings and detailed execution drawings using AutoCAD and Revit.
• Develop BIM models and coordinate electrical systems with other disciplines, performing Clash Detection & Coordination using Navisworks.
• Prepare and review Single Line Diagrams (SLD), electrical layouts, Load Schedules, and required electrical design calculations.
• Prepare Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and perform quantity take-offs from drawings and BIM models.
• Prepare and review Material Submittals and Technical Submittals.
• Review drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and project requirements.
• Prepare RFIs and technical queries when discrepancies, conflicts, or unclear information are identified.
• Provide technical support to the site team during the execution of electrical works and coordinate with contractors, consultants, and other engineering disciplines.
• Prepare and review electrical cost estimates and quotations.
• Coordinate with the procurement team to select suitable materials and equipment in accordance with approved specifications.
• Identify and propose Value Engineering opportunities to optimize project costs without compromising quality or functionality.
• Update drawings based on approved design changes and project revisions, and prepare As-Built Drawings.
• Support Testing & Commissioning activities and provide technical assistance when required.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 5-10 years of experience in a relevant electrical engineering role, demonstrating a strong background in technical office functions and project coordination.
