About BICC and the Role

BICC operates a dedicated workers' accommodation camp in Riyadh, providing essential services including catering, laundry, gymnasium, and mosque facilities. We are seeking an experienced Facilities Supervisor to lead the day-to-day operations of the camp and manage the soft-services team. This is a hands-on, full-time, live-in supervisory position, requiring 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

As the Facilities Supervisor, you will serve as the primary point of contact for residents, clients, and management regarding operational issues, maintenance needs, cleaning, and catering. You will report directly to the Camp Manager and work a 6-day week, which includes participation in an on-call rotation. The role focuses on ensuring the efficient and compliant operation of all camp facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee daily camp operations across accommodation, catering, laundry, housekeeping, gym, and mosque facilities.
• Manage room allocation, bed-space planning, check-in/check-out processes, and maintain a daily reconciled occupancy register.
• Conduct daily hygiene, housekeeping, and HSE inspections, maintaining accurate written records.
• Enforce food safety standards in the kitchen, including temperature logs, cold-chain management, FIFO stock rotation, and storage segregation.
• Verify all food handlers possess valid municipality health cards.
• Supervise laundry operations, linen inventory and rotation, and equipment servicing schedules.
• Maintain the gym, ensuring daily cleanliness checks, equipment condition, and removal of defective machines.
• Maintain the mosque and ablution areas to a standard appropriate for a place of worship, including prayer-time schedules and adequate water supply.
• Log, prioritize, and close out maintenance faults; escalate MEP, HVAC, plumbing, and electrical works to the technical team or approved vendors.
• Control stock of food, consumables, linen, and cleaning materials; monitor cost per head against budget.
• Manage fire safety, including extinguisher servicing, alarm tests, escape-route clearance, and evacuation drills.
• Act as the first point of contact for resident welfare, complaints, and discipline; escalate serious incidents immediately.
• Submit daily and monthly reports on occupancy, meals served, incidents, faults, and costs.

Team Leadership

The Facilities Supervisor will directly supervise the camp team, which includes cooks, kitchen helpers, cleaners, laundry hands, and tea boys. This involves guiding daily tasks, ensuring adherence to operational procedures, and fostering a productive work environment.

Candidate Requirements

• Physically fit for a live-in, on-call role.
• A transferable Iqama is considered an advantage.
• Desirable qualifications include HACCP certification, first aid training, fire warden training, or prior experience on an Aramco, SABIC, Marafiq, or RC-standard camp.
