About the Role: Female Private English Tutor - KS3 & KS4

Star is seeking an experienced and highly capable Female Private English Tutor to provide full-time academic support to a student in Riyadh. This role focuses on delivering personalised, structured, and engaging English tuition aligned with the British curriculum for Key Stages 3 and 4. The successful candidate will strengthen the student’s subject knowledge, develop confidence and independence, and prepare them effectively for GCSE or IGCSE examinations. This is a discreet private appointment requiring a professional, adaptable, and student-centred educator.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver high-quality one-to-one English lessons.
• Teach English Language and Literature at KS3 and KS4 levels.
• Support the student with reading, writing, analysis, grammar, vocabulary, and examination technique.
• Prepare the student for relevant GCSE or IGCSE assessments.
• Assess progress regularly and adapt teaching strategies accordingly.
• Identify areas of weakness and create targeted intervention plans.
• Develop the student’s confidence, motivation, organisation, and independent study skills.
• Set appropriate assignments, revision tasks, and extension work.
• Maintain accurate records of lesson content, progress, attainment, and future objectives.
• Communicate professionally with the family regarding academic development and priorities.
• Work alongside other educators, tutors, schools, or educational advisers where required.
• Support continuity of learning during school holidays, examination periods, and family travel.
• Maintain a calm, respectful, and encouraging learning environment at all times.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

The ideal candidate will be an experienced English teacher with 2-5 years of experience, a strong understanding of the British curriculum, and a proven record of supporting students through KS3 and KS4. A female teacher is required for this appointment.

• Strong subject knowledge in English Language and Literature.
• Experience teaching or tutoring students aged approximately 11–16.
• Familiarity with GCSE and/or IGCSE specifications.
• A clear understanding of assessment objectives and examination requirements.
• The ability to tailor lessons to an individual student’s learning style and academic profile.
• Excellent communication, organisation, and interpersonal skills.
• A warm, patient, and encouraging teaching manner.
• The confidence to work independently within a private household.
• Professional maturity, discretion, and sound judgement.
• A flexible and collaborative approach to working with the family and wider educational team.

Working Arrangements and Location

This is a full-time private teaching position based primarily in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, with a competitive salary commensurate with experience. The Teacher will provide consistent academic support around the student’s school commitments while remaining responsive to the family’s schedule and educational requirements. Working hours will be flexible, with adjustments possible during examination periods, school holidays, academic transitions, and family travel. The successful applicant must be comfortable working in a private family environment and adapting to the requirements of a full-time residential or non-residential appointment, as applicable.

Travel and Confidentiality

Occasional domestic or international travel may be required to maintain continuity of the student’s education. The successful candidate should be willing to accompany the family when necessary and provide appropriate academic support while travelling. Due to the private nature of the appointment, the Teacher must maintain complete confidentiality and discretion at all times regarding all information related to the student, family, household, routines, travel arrangements, and any personal, professional, or financial matters encountered during the appointment. Confidential information must not be disclosed, published, photographed, recorded, or shared without prior written permission.
