We are seeking a Forward Deployment Engineer to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, for a full-time position requiring 5-10 years of experience.

Role Overview

This role is for a Forward Deployment Engineer (FDE) who possesses deep software engineering expertise combined with hands-on AI experience and strong customer problem-solving abilities. It is distinct from traditional Data Science or Solutions Architecture roles. The FDE will work directly with customers to identify high-value business problems and develop production-grade solutions using Humain’s AI technology stack. This position involves owning the technical journey from problem discovery and solution design through implementation, deployment, adoption, and live operation. The ideal candidate is a T-shaped engineer, technically proficient in software engineering, AI, and data, with the breadth to understand customer challenges, architect solutions, deploy them, and drive measurable business outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Embed with customers to understand complex business and operational problems.
• Identify high-value customer problems, diagnose root causes, and translate them into technical requirements and deployable solutions.
• Design and build production-grade AI-powered applications on Humain’s technology stack.
• Own customer problems end-to-end, from discovery and rapid prototyping through production deployment, adoption, and live operation.
• Build and integrate LLMs, RAG, Agentic AI, AI Agents, AI Copilots, and intelligent automation into enterprise workflows.
• Develop backend services, APIs, integrations, and data pipelines necessary to operationalize AI solutions.
• Integrate solutions with customer applications, enterprise systems, databases, APIs, and existing technology environments.
• Rapidly prototype solutions, validate them with customers, iterate based on feedback, and scale successful implementations.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, AI, Data, and customer teams to remove technical blockers and accelerate delivery.
• Support technical discovery, solution shaping, demonstrations, feasibility assessments, and Proof-of-Value engagements.
• Drive customer adoption and quantify the business impact of deployed solutions.
• Establish strong engineering practices, technical standards, and solution governance across customer implementations.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in Software Engineering, Applied AI, Machine Learning Engineering, Forward Deployment, Solutions Engineering, or AI Solution Architecture.
• Proven track record of building and deploying production-grade software and AI solutions beyond Proofs of Concept.
• Strong hands-on programming capability, particularly in Python, with experience building APIs, backend services, integrations, or full-stack applications.
• Hands-on experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), Agentic AI / AI Agents, embeddings, vector databases, or AI orchestration frameworks.
• Strong understanding of production software architecture and engineering practices.
• Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD, cloud platforms, MLOps, model serving, monitoring, and production deployment.
• Ability to operate independently in ambiguous customer environments and take ownership from problem identification through live operation.
• Strong customer-facing and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with engineers, business stakeholders, and executive sponsors.
• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear business language and connect technical solutions to measurable outcomes.

Preferred Experience and Education

• Exposure to the Banking, Financial Services & Insurance (BFSI) sector, including areas like FinTech, Payments, Insurance, Wealth Management, Capital Markets, Risk, Fraud, AML/KYC, or other regulated environments.
• Experience delivering enterprise AI solutions directly within customer environments.
• Experience with AI platforms, cloud-native architectures, distributed systems, and enterprise integrations.
• Hands-on experience with technologies such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, MLflow, Hugging Face, FastAPI, vLLM, vector databases, Kubernetes, or similar technologies.
• Experience supporting pre-sales, technical workshops, solution demonstrations, feasibility assessments, or customer implementation engagements.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.
• Relevant cloud, AI, Machine Learning, or software engineering certifications are advantageous.
