The Global MQA Role

Lenovo is seeking a Global MQA to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position focused on ensuring manufacturing quality assurance across the supply chain. The role involves critical oversight of Original Design Manufacturer (ODM) and Electronic Manufacturing Services (EMS) partners, driving continuous improvement and compliance with global quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Enable and evaluate ODM/EMS partners through systematic and regular audits, driving improvements to meet specified requirements.
  • Synchronize and standardize global processes and procedures across manufacturing operations.
  • Evaluate and implement protocols and methods for inspecting and testing in-process materials, raw materials, and finished products, ensuring compliance with internal and external safety, quality, and regulatory standards for distribution.
  • Manage all quality-related issues during mass production for ODM products, leading problem-solving efforts for quick and effective resolution.
  • Support overseas new production transfers and mass production activities, including setting up and reviewing manufacturing Quality Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement for global EMS.
  • Drive ODM/EMS partners to resolve issues from Carrier audits, Out-of-Box (OOB) inspections, and customer claims efficiently as an internal end-to-end owner.
  • Lead continuous improvement projects aimed at enhancing EMS manufacturing quality control capabilities.
  • Act as a coordinator to mediate and resolve disputes among overseas sites, EMS, and ODM partners.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the smart phone industry.
  • Familiarity with supply chain-related activities such as manufacturing, Surface Mount Technology (SMT), Assembly, Industrial Engineering (IE), Testing, New Product Introduction (NPI), and Quality. Experience in at least three of these areas is required, with SMT experience being preferred.
