GP Emergency Medicine

About the Role

National Medical Care is seeking a GP Emergency Medicine to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position involves providing comprehensive medical care to patients presenting to the Emergency Room, from initial assessment to safe discharge. The role requires adherence to professional medical ethics and established healthcare standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure high-quality medical treatment, compassion, and understanding for all patients at Care National Hospital.
• Triage patients for medical care based on illness acuity, collaborating with Emergency Room Nurses.
• Conduct full patient assessments, including history taking, physical examinations, and routine diagnostic tests.
• Initiate appropriate medical care and treatment within the scope of clinical privileges.
• Manage surgical, orthopedic, medical, and pediatric cases in the *, including stabilizing critical cases.
• Refer patients to relevant specialists for consultation, specialized care, or admission as needed.
• Document all procedures in accordance with Hospital Rules and Regulations.
• Participate in departmental education and training activities.
• Educate patients and families regarding their care plan, documenting interactions in the medical record.
• Provide health promotion and teaching tailored to patient developmental level, learning needs, and cultural background.
• Perform other assigned tasks within the scope of knowledge, skills, and abilities.

Qualifications and Experience

• Experience required: 2-5 years in a relevant medical field.
• Adherence to professional medical ethics and CBAHI / JCIA standards.
• Compliance with hospital medical by-laws and Ministry of Health laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
• Knowledge of departmental quality plans and applicable regulations.

Reporting Structure

This position reports directly to the Head of Department. The role does not involve supervising other staff members.

Internal and External Collaboration

The GP Emergency Medicine will liaise with other Emergency Room Physicians, physicians from various medical departments, and staff from Supporting Professional Services to ensure coordinated patient care.

Work Environment

The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis within the Emergency Room setting at Care National Hospital. The successful candidate will be part of a dynamic healthcare team dedicated to patient well-being.
