About the Role

Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Health Club Reception to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience, focusing on maintaining the health club environment and ensuring guest satisfaction.

Core Responsibilities

The Health Club Reception is primarily responsible for the cleanliness and operational functionality of the fitness center and recreation areas. This role involves direct interaction with guests, ensuring their safety and providing information about available facilities and activities.

Key Duties

  • Wiping down fitness center machines and ensuring equipment cleanliness.
  • Removing towels, trash, and debris from the fitness center area.
  • Maintaining an adequate supply of cups and water in the recreation area.
  • Cleaning fitness and recreation area restrooms and showers.
  • Obtaining, folding, and stacking towels according to company procedures.
  • Distributing lockers and towels to guests upon request.
  • Conducting inventory of supplies, materials, and equipment, and informing supervisors or managers of low supply items.
  • Providing information to guests about available recreation facilities and activities.
  • Promoting a fun and relaxing atmosphere for guests while enforcing facility rules and regulations for safety and welfare.
  • Providing assistance to injured guests until emergency medical services arrive.

Professional Standards and Safety

  • Reporting accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management.
  • Completing all required safety training and certifications.
  • Adhering to company policies and procedures, including maintaining a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
  • Maintaining confidentiality of proprietary information and protecting company assets.
  • Welcoming and acknowledging all guests according to company standards, anticipating and addressing their service needs, and assisting individuals with disabilities.
  • Communicating using clear and professional language, and answering telephones with appropriate etiquette.
  • Developing and maintaining positive working relationships with colleagues.
  • Complying with quality assurance expectations and standards.

Qualifications and Certifications

  • Education: High school diploma or *** equivalent.
  • Related Work Experience: No related work experience is required for this position.
  • Supervisory Experience: No supervisory experience is required.
  • Required Certifications:
    • CPR Certification
    • First Aid Certification
    • Proficiency with Fitness Equipment
    • Any certification or training required by local and state agencies.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify defects.
  • Capacity to stand, sit, or walk for extended periods or for an entire work shift.
  • Ability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance.
  • Capability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces.
  • Ability to reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
  • Performing other reasonable job duties as requested.
