About the HR Business Partner Role

Afaq - Warehouse Branch is seeking an HR Business Partner to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, individual contributor role focuses on driving business results through strategic partnerships with leadership and close engagement with employees. The position requires balancing strategic insight with hands-on execution to manage employee matters, enhance leadership capabilities, and improve organizational culture to elevate the employee experience.

Role Overview and Context

The HR Business Partner will operate as a generalist, addressing all aspects that impact the employee experience and the company's employer value proposition. This role is integral to the central HR team in KSA, working closely with the country HR leader for the Amazon Customer Fulfilment business and regional partners. The position is based out of one of Afaq's Riyadh warehouses.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead country-wide feedback strategies, including data reviews, roundtables, and pulse mechanisms.
• Navigate complex employee situations with sound judgment, balancing employee advocacy, compliance, and business impact.
• Implement recognition programs and champion inclusion and belonging initiatives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on sensitive people issues and complex decision-making.
• Utilize data analytics to inform people decisions and identify root causes of organizational issues.
• Support organizational change and transformation initiatives.
• Drive standard work excellence and ensure process consistency across the organization.
• Escalate structural, cultural, or systemic risks that impact the employee population.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5+ years of HR work experience within an international, fast-paced, and customer-driven environment.
• Knowledge of local labor law.
• Experience in a call center, distribution center, or manufacturing environment.
• A Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
• Fluency in Gen AI concepts.
• Experience managing small to medium-scale projects.

This role is part of a passionate group of HR professionals dedicated to serving internal customers and working backward to deliver effective solutions. The team, known as HR Ops, focuses on operational excellence. The position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and operates on a full-time basis.
