About the HVAC Technician Role

Carrier (KSA) is a leading worldwide provider of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC), refrigeration, fire, security, and cold chain solutions. We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Saudi National HVAC Technician to join our full-time team in Riyadh. This role involves the inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and servicing of HVAC equipment, ensuring adherence to manufacturer guidelines, industry standards, company procedures, and EH&S requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute assigned service and maintenance tasks within required timeframes, maintaining high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.
• Follow established standard processes, procedures, and instructions, both oral and written.
• Maintain accurate daily timesheets, job cards, service records, and other required documentation.
• Communicate effectively with customers regarding work progress, technical findings, and recommended actions.
• Complete Job Completion Certificates, EH&S site surveys, and other necessary reports.
• Inspect HVAC and air-conditioning units to ensure efficient and reliable operation.
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
• Estimate required labor hours, materials, tools, and equipment for assigned jobs.
• Prepare inspection and technical reports detailing site conditions, scope of work, findings, and recommendations.
• Perform preventive and scheduled maintenance, maintaining accurate records.
• Repair, replace, adjust, and maintain damaged or defective HVAC components, including internal electrical and electronic control systems.
• Clean coils and blowers, and inspect motors, belts, belt tension, and related components.
• Utilize computers, mobile devices, and relevant applications for service reporting and work-related activities.
• Work independently when required, demonstrating sound judgment, and collaborate effectively within an integrated technical team.
• Identify safety hazards and implement controls, escalating issues to supervisors when necessary.
• Safely rig and set up gantries and lifting arrangements for HVAC equipment and other heavy machinery.
• Manage and organize machinery and tools, including pickup, delivery, usage, and inventory.
• Actively participate in EH&S and technical training sessions and meetings.

Qualifications and Experience

• Saudi National.
• Diploma or equivalent qualification in Air-Conditioning & Refrigeration, HVAC, or a related field.
• 2–4 years of relevant HVAC industry/field experience.
• Valid Saudi driving license is an advantage.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer-oriented with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Basic computer and mobile application skills.

Technical Knowledge and Skills

Candidates should possess knowledge of:

• Principles and practices of HVAC equipment maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair, in accordance with industry practices and manufacturer guidelines.
• EH&S practices and procedures applicable to HVAC equipment installation, repair, and maintenance, including MSDS/SDS requirements and safe handling practices.
• Proper utilization, care, and management of tools and equipment.
• Preparation and completion of inspection and technical reports.
• Quality management practices in accordance with company standards and applicable quality requirements.
• Basic metal sheet work, electrical systems, carpentry, and Building Automation Controls.
• Identification and management of risks and hazards associated with HVAC operations, including safe lifting and rigging practices.

Minimum product knowledge includes DX & Airside Equipment and Scroll Chillers.

• Deliver professional workmanship while maintaining high standards of customer service and satisfaction.
