IT Support Engineer

About the Role

Jaffer Business Systems (JBS) is seeking an IT Support Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position for professionals with 1-3 years of experience. The IT Support Engineer will provide essential technical support to employees, ensuring the smooth operation of hardware, software, network access, and business applications with minimal disruption.

Key Responsibilities

• Respond to and resolve IT support tickets related to hardware, software, network, printers, and peripherals within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
• Set up, configure, and maintain desktops, laptops, and user accounts for new employees and manage offboarding processes for departing staff.
• Provide on-site and remote troubleshooting for end-user issues, escalating unresolved incidents to the appropriate team or vendor.
• Maintain and monitor office IT infrastructure, including LAN/Wi-Fi, printers, video-conferencing equipment, and meeting-room AV systems.
• Administer user access across core systems such as email, Active Directory/Azure AD, VPN, and various business applications.
• Support basic server, backup, and antivirus/endpoint-security checks, reporting any anomalies to senior IT staff.
• Maintain an accurate asset register and comprehensive documentation for hardware, software licenses, and system configurations.
• Assist with IT-related onboarding and induction sessions and develop simple user guides for common technical issues.
• Support IT projects, including system rollouts and upgrades.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 1-3 years of relevant experience in IT support roles. A strong understanding of IT systems and excellent problem-solving abilities are essential for this position.
