The Role of IT Support Specialist

As an IT Support Specialist, you will provide essential technical support to consultants working under pressure and to tight deadlines. This role is critical in ensuring continuous technological functionality, preventing engagement stalls due to technical issues. You will manage first-line (L1) support end-to-end and progress into second-line (L2) responsibilities, including diagnosing problems, administering accounts and devices, and taking ownership of aspects of Microsoft 365 and endpoint management. This is a hands-on position within a small team, offering broad exposure and early responsibility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires 2-5 years of experience and is full-time.

Key Responsibilities

First-line support (L1): Serve as the initial contact for IT issues via various channels, accurately logging requests and keeping users informed. Triage and prioritize incoming issues, resolving common problems at first contact and escalating with clear diagnostic notes. Provide daily support for laptops, mobile devices, and peripherals, including password resets and MFA management. Support end-users on Microsoft 365 applications such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive, addressing sync issues, sharing permissions, and providing how-to guidance.
Second-line support (L2): Investigate escalated incidents to determine root causes, including Windows and macOS OS-level faults, application conflicts, profile corruption, and network connectivity problems. Administer user identities in Microsoft Entra ID, managing joiner-mover-leaver processes, group membership, conditional-access troubleshooting, and sign-in log analysis. Support and troubleshoot managed devices in Microsoft Intune, covering enrolment, compliance policies, application deployment, and configuration profiles. Set up and configure new joiner laptops completely, including enrolment, account setup, software installation, encryption, and handover.
Service Quality and Security: Maintain and enhance the knowledge base with troubleshooting runbooks, how-to articles, and onboarding guides. Identify recurring incidents and propose permanent solutions. Deliver clear onboarding walkthroughs for new joiners and conduct training sessions on firm tools.
