Junior Engineer (Saudi National)

About the Role

ACTION International Services is seeking a Junior Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is open to Saudi Nationals and involves supporting engineering activities across various projects and operations. The Junior Engineer will assist in the planning, execution, and monitoring of technical tasks under supervision, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of assigned work.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute operational works across multiple project sites simultaneously, from project handover to closure, including mobilization, procurement, installation, commissioning, monitoring, and demobilization.
• Plan and execute all activities in accordance with the Method Statement, contracted scope, best practices, and client obligations, reporting any variances to the Line Manager prior to execution.
• Assist in preparing engineering plans, drawings, and technical documentation.
• Maintain project files, records, and engineering data.
• Operate basic engineering tools, software, and equipment as directed.
• Conduct routine site inspections, data collection, and reporting.
• Support senior engineers in project coordination and problem-solving activities.
• Establish and maintain effective communication with team members and stakeholders.
• Deliver reports as required by the project or direct line manager.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project milestones.
• Conduct any other tasks or projects assigned by the direct line manager.

Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment (QHSE)

• Understand and adhere to the Company’s QHSE policies and procedures.
• Promote safety targets and maintain zero tolerance for unsafe practices or conditions.
• Decline requests to perform unsafe work and immediately report potential hazards to the Safety Officer.
• Review relevant project specifications before work commences and monitor all activities to ensure quality and accuracy as per company standards.
• Notify the Line Manager of any defects, errors, or variations identified.
• Ensure completion of all applicable quality checklists.

Cross-Functional Support and Development

• Set direction and objectives for team members and ensure the achievement of their development plans.
• Collaborate with internal project stakeholders to resolve contract, documentation, and execution risks.
• Identify problems and opportunities, escalating critical issues to the Line Manager.
• Assist the Line Manager in preparing a six-month rolling manpower plan and justify resource requirements.
• Ensure timely submission of all necessary data, records, and reports for monthly project billing.

Qualifications and Experience

• 0-1 year of experience in an engineering role.
• Foundational engineering knowledge.
• Ability to follow established procedures.
• Effective coordination skills for working with senior team members.
