About the Role

Maaden is seeking a Lead Specialist Commercial Intelligence II to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on driving commercial performance through advanced market analysis and strategic insights.

Role Overview

The Lead Specialist Commercial Intelligence II will lead and execute sophisticated commercial intelligence and market analysis activities. The primary objective is to deliver structured insights and scenario-based recommendations that inform pricing strategies, market positioning, and overall commercial performance. This role is responsible for analyzing global and regional market dynamics, supply and demand trends, and pricing drivers, translating complex data into actionable intelligence that directly impacts revenue, margin, and netback performance. The position serves as a critical link between Market Intelligence, Pricing, Sales, and Planning teams, ensuring alignment between market insights and commercial execution to support informed decision-making and the achievement of business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the analysis of global and regional market trends, encompassing supply-demand dynamics, pricing movements, and macroeconomic drivers.
  • Consolidate market data into structured, decision-ready insights to support commercial and strategic decision-making.
  • Continuously monitor key market drivers and proactively identify and communicate risks and opportunities impacting revenue and margin.
  • Support the development of demand forecasts and market outlooks aligned with business planning cycles.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess the following qualifications:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Business Administration, Finance, Marketing, Engineering, or a related analytical discipline is mandatory.
  • A Master’s degree (*, MBA, MSc in Economics, Finance, Strategy, or Market Intelligence) is strongly preferred, reflecting the strategic nature of the role.
  • Professional certifications in market intelligence, data analytics, strategy, or finance (*, CFA, PMI, or relevant analytics certifications) are considered an advantage.
  • A minimum of 7–10 years of relevant experience in commercial intelligence, pricing analysis, market intelligence, or commercial strategy is required. Experience within the metals, mining, or heavy industrial sectors is preferred.

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Strong analytical capability to evaluate market trends, pricing drivers, and commercial performance data.
  • Solid understanding of market dynamics, supply-demand trends, and competitive positioning.
  • The ability to continuously monitor market changes and adapt insights accordingly.
  • Alignment of analysis and recommendations with business objectives and commercial priorities.
  • Proficiency in analyzing market trends, supply-demand dynamics, and pricing drivers, converting data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent analytical capability to structure complex datasets into clear, decision-ready outputs for pricing, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • The ability to conduct structured competitor benchmarking, including pricing, cost positioning, and market dynamics, to support commercial strategies.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, within the Riyadh Region.
