About SOHO Group and the Role

SOHO Group is expanding its retail footprint across the region and is seeking a Logistics Coordinator to join its team. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and is integral to ensuring seamless logistics operations in support of new store openings and ongoing supply chain requirements.

Role Overview

The Logistics Coordinator will manage and optimize both inbound and outbound logistics processes. This role requires solid experience in international shipping, regulatory documentation, supplier coordination, and freight cost management to ensure efficient, compliant, and cost-effective movement of goods across markets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments to meet delivery timelines.
  • Accurately calculate shipment volumes for both air and sea freight and secure bookings accordingly.
  • Negotiate competitive freight rates and manage space allocations with shipping lines and freight forwarders.
  • Evaluate and select the most efficient shipping methods based on cost, time, and service levels.
  • Provide real-time tracking updates and communicate proactively with internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare and validate shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing lists, and commercial invoices.
  • Ensure full compliance with international shipping regulations and required documentation standards.
  • Manage SABER PCOC and SCOC submissions and ensure alignment with current regulatory procedures.
  • Liaise with suppliers to monitor the status of shipments and address backorder issues.
  • Maintain up-to-date shipment tracking logs and communicate changes or delays promptly.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records in coordination with the warehouse team.
  • Support proper handling, storage, and stock reconciliation processes to prevent discrepancies.
  • Coordinate effectively with sales, procurement, finance, and production departments to ensure logistics align with business priorities.
  • Communicate critical updates regarding shipping delays, customs holds, or routing changes.
  • Investigate and resolve logistics-related issues, including delivery delays and documentation discrepancies.
  • Propose and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
  • Stay informed on international and local import/export regulations, tariffs, duties, and licensing requirements.
  • Ensure consistent compliance with SABER and all other applicable regulatory frameworks.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify inefficiencies and propose improvement strategies.
  • Implement cost-reduction initiatives while maintaining service quality and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in international logistics and supply chain management, preferably within the retail industry.

Required Skills and Attributes

Candidates for this role must be highly organized and proactive. The position demands strong capabilities in international shipping, regulatory documentation, supplier coordination, and effective freight cost management.
