About the Opportunity

Coefficient Alliances & Ventures (Coefftalent) is seeking a Management Consultant - IT to support a Riyadh-based consulting firm. This contract role, based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, focuses on a large-scale cost optimization engagement. The consultant will work within a dedicated team to drive significant cost-saving initiatives, specifically targeting IT spend across both Capital Expenditure (CapEx) and Operational Expenditure (OpEx) within banking IT environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze IT contracts, including software licensing, hardware, telecom, cloud, outsourcing/managed services, maintenance, and support agreements, to identify cost-saving and renegotiation opportunities.
  • Review the client’s existing IT architecture and application landscape to understand deployment, usage intensity, and platform dependencies for banking products.
  • Deconstruct IT cost structures into relevant drivers and variables, distinguishing between fixed and variable costs, and pinpointing root causes of cost inefficiencies.
  • Collect and analyze usage and consumption data (*, licenses, infrastructure capacity, cloud consumption, support tickets) to detect overuse, underuse, and potential for optimization.
  • Engage directly with IT vendors and internal IT stakeholders to gather information, validate assumptions, and support negotiation strategies.
  • Develop clear, structured, and data-driven business cases and savings trackers to quantify identified opportunities.
  • Summarize findings and recommendations into concise, senior-stakeholder-ready presentations, ensuring a clear storyline, accurate charts and tables, and explicit conclusions for effective delivery to client leadership and C-level executives.
  • Support the implementation and Project Management Office (PMO) follow-up of validated initiatives, tracking savings realization against targets and flagging risks or delays.

Candidate Profile

  • 2-5 years of experience in management consulting or a related field.
  • Previous experience at a top-tier consulting firm, preferably MBB (McKinsey, Boston Consulting Group, Bain & Company) or Big Four (Deloitte, PwC, EY, KPMG).

Required Skills and Expertise

  • Deep knowledge of and proficiency with the main IT vendors and products used in the banking industry, including core banking systems, infrastructure, cloud providers, telecom, security, and enterprise software.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently develop high-quality presentations, encompassing storyline development, data-driven charts and tables, and clear, actionable conclusions.
  • Proven experience in assessing IT contracts and identifying cost-saving opportunities through renegotiation, rightsizing, or consolidation.
  • Strong technical and commercial understanding of banking IT environments to effectively identify, quantify, and support the implementation of savings opportunities.

Engagement Details

This is a contract position for a duration of two months. Candidates must be immediately available or able to commence work within one week of offer acceptance.
