About the Role

The Luxury Collection is seeking a Banquet Manager (Dry) to join their team in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves directing and motivating a team to deliver high-quality service, managing financial and administrative responsibilities, and ensuring clear communication for successful event execution. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project supply needs for the department, including china, glass, silver, buffet presentations, and props.
  • Apply knowledge of all relevant laws pertaining to events.
  • Manage banquet operations to maximize customer satisfaction and adhere to established standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Maintain sanitation levels and manage departmental inventories and equipment.
  • Control costs and manage the banquet beverage perpetual inventory using banquet beverage records.
  • Schedule banquet service staff based on forecasts and service standards, while maximizing profits.
  • Assist the team in developing lasting relationships with groups to retain business and increase growth.

Team Leadership and Customer Service

  • Set goals and delegate tasks to improve departmental performance.
  • Conduct monthly department meetings with the Banquet team.
  • Apply and continually broaden knowledge of food and beverage, including current event trends.
  • Act as a liaison to the kitchen staff.
  • Lead shifts and actively participate in the servicing of events.
  • Set a positive example for guest relations and interact with guests to obtain feedback on product quality and service levels.
  • Respond to and handle guest problems and complaints.
  • Empower employees to provide excellent customer service and ensure they understand expectations.
  • Strive to improve service performance and emphasize guest satisfaction during all departmental meetings.
  • Review comment cards and guest satisfaction results with employees.

Human Resources and Training

  • Communicate and execute departmental and property emergency procedures, ensuring staff are trained in safety.
  • Observe service behaviors of employees and provide feedback.
  • Monitor progress and lead discussions with staff each period.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Review quarterly Meeting Planner Survey results and participate in the development and implementation of corrective actions to address service challenges.
  • Attend and participate in all pertinent meetings.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry. The ability to identify training opportunities and plan strategies to achieve goals is essential.

Work Environment

This is a full-time position based in Ad Diriyah, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within The Luxury Collection. The role involves working in a dynamic environment focused on delivering high-quality banquet services.
