About the Obstetrics and Gynecology Registrar Role

Nahdi Medical Co. is seeking a full-time Obstetrics and Gynecology (OB/GYN) Registrar to join its medical team in Riyadh, Riyadh. This role is central to the OB/GYN department, focusing on the diagnosis and treatment of injuries or illnesses, and providing comprehensive patient care. The position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience.

Core Responsibilities

The OB/GYN Registrar will manage patient care from initial assessment through treatment and follow-up, ensuring high standards of medical practice. Key duties include:

  • Assessing patients and thoroughly documenting findings.
  • Designing and executing individualized patient care plans.
  • Examining patients and taking detailed medical histories.
  • Prescribing medications as appropriate for patient conditions.
  • Ordering, performing, and interpreting diagnostic tests.
  • Counseling patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare relevant to their individual cases.
  • Educating patients on their health condition, required investigations, treatment options, and medication use.
  • Promoting health and disease prevention through patient education.
  • Ordering and reviewing results of patient investigations.
  • Fulfilling all obligations related to patient records.

Operational Adherence and Collaboration

This role requires strict adherence to established guidelines and active participation in the clinic's operational framework:

  • Adhering to all Nahdi Care Clinics (NCC) Policies and Procedures (P&P), Bylaws Strategic Plan, Rules & Regulation.
  • Complying with the mission, vision, goals, and practice guidelines of NCC.
  • Actively participating in all assigned NCC Committees and Task Forces.
  • Adhering to CBAHI standards of care.
  • Establishing and maintaining effective and cooperative working relationships with other NCC departments, local agencies, vendors, patients, and their families.
  • Completing fire safety requirements.
  • Complying with clinical and departmental structure standards, including attendance.

Quality Improvement and Professional Development

The Registrar will contribute to continuous improvement and foster a learning environment:

  • Participating in continuous quality improvement and program evaluation activities to ensure Clinical, MOH, and CBAHI quality standards and regulations are met.
  • Participating in the continuous professional development of all junior staff.
  • Maintaining an evidence-based approach in practice.
  • Integrating population factors of heritage, environment, and disease prevalence into patient care.
  • Developing, participating, and supporting an active Continuing Medical Education (CME) program for the assigned Section, Department, or Clinical area, as directed by the chairman. This may include rounds, conferences, lectures, and journal clubs.

Specialty Privileges

The role includes exercising specific clinical privileges based on professional qualifications:

  • Exercising specific privileges based on training, experience, skills, and in adherence to the guidelines of the Saudi Health Council.
  • Performing additional tasks based on specialty and clinical privileges.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Registrar position are required to have:

  • 2-5 years of experience in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • A strong commitment to patient care and adherence to medical standards.
