The Role of PC Builder

Geekay Group is seeking a PC Builder to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time, on-site position. The PC Builder will be responsible for assembling custom gaming and performance PCs, ensuring high-quality builds from component selection to final testing. This role involves working in an environment focused on the latest gaming hardware and geek culture products.

Candidates should have 0-1 years of experience in PC building or a related IT field, demonstrating a foundational understanding of hardware assembly and system configuration.

Key Responsibilities

The PC Builder's day-to-day tasks will include:

• Assembling custom gaming and performance PCs, including selecting compatible components, installing hardware, and managing cable routing for clean, efficient builds.
• Installing and configuring operating systems and drivers.
• Performing stress tests and quality checks on assembled systems.
• Troubleshooting hardware or performance issues before delivery to customers.
• Collaborating with sales and customer service teams to understand build requirements and provide technical input on component choices.
• Supporting after-sales upgrades or repairs.
• Maintaining a clean and organized workbench, adhering to safety and ESD guidelines.
• Updating build logs and staying current on new PC hardware trends, gaming technologies, and Geekay Group's product lines.

Required Qualifications

• Strong hardware assembly skills, including experience with PC component selection, installation of CPUs, GPUs, RAM, storage, and cooling solutions, along with effective cable management.
• Proficiency in operating system installation and configuration, basic BIOS/UEFI setup, and driver installation for gaming and productivity builds.
• Solid troubleshooting abilities for hardware and performance issues, encompassing diagnostics, stability testing, and the repair or replacement of faulty components.
• Familiarity with current PC gaming trends, major hardware brands, and performance requirements for popular games and applications.
• Previous experience (0-1 years) in PC building or a related IT field.

Essential Skills and Attributes

• A customer-focused mindset, with the ability to translate user needs into practical build specifications and explain technical concepts clearly.
• Demonstrated attention to detail and quality, ensuring neat, safe, and reliable builds that meet internal standards and brand expectations.
• Ability to work effectively in a retail or workshop environment, manage multiple builds concurrently, and collaborate with sales and technical colleagues.
