About the Planning Engineer Role

Saudi Railway Company is seeking a Planning Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on supporting and coordinating freight operational planning to enhance efficiency and ensure compliance with established standards and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

Support the development and implementation of freight operational planning policies and procedures, aligning with organizational objectives.
Coordinate with relevant teams and departments to plan freight operations, including capacity planning.
Evaluate operating procedures and identify areas for improvement, recommending measures to enhance operational efficiency.
Provide necessary input on technical planning aspects, such as maintenance plans and network setup.
Manage daily operations to ensure they are carried out according to developed standards, policies, and procedures.
Conduct rostering for onboarding staff and coordinate schedules for freight functions.
Monitor regulatory requirements related to operations and ensure continuous compliance.

Required Experience

Candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in operational planning, preferably within the railway or logistics sector. The role demands a strong understanding of operational procedures and the ability to identify and implement improvements.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The Planning Engineer will work within a dynamic environment, collaborating with various internal teams to optimize freight operations.
