Plant General Manager Battery Pack / Cell Manufacturing

About the Role

Gotion High-Tech is seeking a Plant General Manager for Battery Pack / Cell Manufacturing to lead the establishment, launch, and operation of its battery manufacturing facility in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role will initially focus on battery pack manufacturing, with potential expansion into cell manufacturing. The Plant General Manager will hold overall responsibility for plant safety, quality, delivery, cost, operational performance, and organizational development.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead plant planning, construction, equipment installation, commissioning, production launch, and ramp-up phases.
• Manage annual operating objectives, production plans, cost targets, organizational planning, and overall plant performance.
• Develop and continuously improve manufacturing systems across production, engineering, quality, equipment, process, supply chain, IT, and EHS.
• Drive initiatives for capacity planning, Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE), yield, productivity, delivery performance, lean manufacturing, automation, and digital manufacturing.
• Establish and maintain robust quality systems for incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, and customer quality.
• Develop local supply chains and increase the localization of materials, components, equipment, and services.
• Oversee manufacturing cost management, including material, labor, Capital Expenditure (Capex), Operating Expenditure (Opex), and operational improvement.
• Develop and execute localization and Saudization plans, covering recruitment, training, and development of local technical and management talent.
• Ensure compliance with local EHS, fire protection, environmental, occupational health, and industrial regulations.
• Build and lead the plant management team across Production, Engineering, Process, Equipment, Quality, Supply Chain, EHS, HR, and Administration.
• Support engagement with government authorities, industrial zones, investment organizations, and strategic local partners.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in manufacturing leadership.

Work Environment and Location

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves leading the establishment and operation of a new battery manufacturing plant. The position is full-time.
