Procurement IT Category Manager (Fixed Term )

About the Role

Hitachi Vantara is seeking a Procurement IT Category Manager to lead and optimize the sourcing and procurement of IT hardware, software, and services across the global organization. This contract role is instrumental in driving cost savings, mitigating risks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT solutions that align with Hitachi's business objectives. The position requires 2-5 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive category strategies for IT hardware, software, and services, including market analysis, supplier identification, and negotiation plans.
• Lead the end-to-end procurement process for complex IT projects, from requirements gathering and RFP development to contract negotiation, supplier selection, and performance management.
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including IT leadership, legal, and finance, to understand business needs and ensure procurement strategies support their objectives.
• Identify and implement opportunities for cost reduction, process improvement, and value creation within the IT procurement function.
• Manage supplier relationships, conduct regular performance reviews, and drive continuous improvement initiatives with key IT vendors.
• Monitor market trends, technological advancements, and industry best practices in IT procurement to inform strategic decisions.
• Ensure compliance with all internal procurement policies, ethical guidelines, and relevant external regulations.
• Develop and track key performance indicators (KPIs) for IT category spend, savings, and supplier performance.
