This full-time position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and plays a vital role in our ongoing construction projects. We are looking for a professional with 5-10 years of experience who can effectively manage the acquisition of essential electrical components.

Role Overview

The Senior Electrical Engineer will be responsible for leading all procurement activities related to electrical systems, equipment, and materials. This includes critical components such as switchgear, various types of cables, lighting solutions, and power distribution infrastructure. The role also encompasses managing related subcontract packages, ensuring that all acquisitions meet project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Reviewing and interpreting technical specifications for electrical systems and materials to ensure accurate procurement.
• Coordinating effectively with a diverse range of vendors to facilitate smooth communication and timely delivery of goods.
• Evaluating both technical compliance and commercial viability of offers received from potential suppliers.
• Supporting the process for obtaining all necessary technical approvals for procured items and systems.
• Ensuring that all procurement activities strictly adhere to project requirements, budget constraints, and established timelines.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of proven experience in electrical procurement, specifically within large-scale construction projects.
• Strong foundational knowledge of electrical materials, including the ability to review vendor technical submittals and ensure compliance.
• Demonstrated proficiency in preparing and managing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and conducting effective supplier negotiations.

Desirable Attributes

Candidates with familiarity regarding Saudi Arabian (KSA) standards, local suppliers, and established project approval processes will be at an advantage. This understanding will contribute significantly to navigating the local regulatory and supply chain landscape effectively.
