About Sulzer and the Project Engineer Role

Sulzer, a leading engineering company with a proud heritage of innovation, is seeking a Project Engineer to join its team in Riyadh. This full-time role offers the opportunity to contribute to a global team focused on developing innovative solutions that enable a prosperous and more sustainable society. Candidates should possess 5-10 years of relevant experience.

Role Overview

The Project Engineer is responsible for the technical execution and successful delivery of pumping system projects. This includes ensuring all project activities and outcomes adhere to specified technical requirements, budget constraints, and established schedules.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in developing project plans, schedules, and estimates, and monitor progress against defined milestones.
Ensure compliance with quality, safety, and contractual requirements throughout project execution.
Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, tracking deliverables, procurement activities, and material deliveries to site.
Manage interdisciplinary coordination to achieve project objectives within schedule, budget, and required quality standards.
Promote and coordinate the resolution of technical issues, providing recommendations to Project Management.
Participate in technical meetings with customers and suppliers, including HAZOP, P&ID, and 3D Model Reviews, ensuring timely closure of actions.
Coordinate the preparation and issuance of project documentation, including specifications, plans, requisitions, and other discipline deliverables.
Review bid requisitions, technical evaluations, tabulations, and recommendations for equipment and material awards.
Identify, control, and monitor project changes, ensuring proper processing of potential change orders and project impacts.
Support Production activities, manage day-to-day interfaces with internal and external stakeholders, conduct weekly project reviews, and promote effective project management practices.

Required Experience

The role requires 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant engineering or project management capacity, preferably within the pumping systems industry or a related field.
