About the Role

Al Jazirah Vehicles Agencies Co. Ltd. is seeking a Project Engineer to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves proactive project management and support for the company's developments, focusing on managing project plans, establishing project criteria, and coordinating reviews to ensure timely and high-quality project delivery.

Role Purpose

The Project Engineer will lead key project deliverables and coordinate with internal departments and external stakeholders. The role ensures the progress and execution of deliverables align with established AJVA policies, procedures, and professional standards. This position contributes to the continuous improvement of processes and practices, aiming for enhanced business efficiency, cost reduction, and productivity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the planning, organization, and control of projects to meet agreed parameters including cost budget, timelines, scope, and quality standards.
  • Lead and participate in project coordination activities related to the preparation, review, and evaluation of plans and specifications.
  • Monitor, analyze, and report on project budgets and forecasts to the Department Manager, identifying variances and proposing resolutions.
  • Manage project plans and schedules using various project management tools, ensuring tasks and milestones are achieved promptly and within budget.
  • Contribute to the project issue/risk management process by identifying and prioritizing potential issues and risks, and assisting in developing mitigation strategies.
  • Assist the Department Manager in drafting and issuing project proposals, letters of intent, purchase orders, RFPs, tenders, budgets, cash flows, and preliminary schedules.
  • Ensure all required permits and kick-off documents for projects are secured through proper follow-up and channel identification.
  • Support the manager in negotiating and revising prices, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with architects, consultants, suppliers, and contractors.

Daily Operations and Reporting

  • Follow day-to-day operations related to own job to ensure work continuity.
  • Assist in preparing timely and accurate reports on project status to meet company and department requirements.
  • Assist the Department Manager in reviewing contractor quotations to ensure fair and reasonable pricing recommendations.

Experience Required

Candidates should possess 2-5 years of relevant experience in project engineering or a similar field.
