Project Management Manager

About the Role

SAB is seeking a Project Management Manager to join the Finance Strategy and Transformation department. This full-time position is based in Riyadh and focuses on leading financial system architecture and data governance initiatives within the finance function.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design, continuous enhancement, and governance of the master Chart of Accounts (COA) structure, segment rules, and validation logic in Oracle GL.
• Drive functional integration and mapping logic between Core Banking Systems and Oracle GL to ensure seamless automated postings for core banking products.
• Oversee interface health, eliminate mapping breaks or unmapped accounts, and establish automated reconciliation checks between Core Banking Systems and Oracle GL.
• Define and execute the change management workflow for COA change requests, ensuring alignment with transformation roadmaps and target operating models.
• Establish robust processes to generate automated financial reports such as Trial Balances, Balance Sheets, and Income Statements directly from financial systems.
• Ensure GL structure and mapping support Central Bank regulatory reporting requirements and automated data extraction.
• Operationalize new and existing accounting standards across system mappings, including IFRS 9, IFRS 16, and IFRS 18.
• Lead system presentation and COA mapping adjustments to comply with updated primary financial statement structure and disclosure mandates for IFRS 18.
• Collaborate with the Financial Reporting team and MI team to streamline reporting requirements for the Finance Control Department.
• Identify process bottlenecks, manual workarounds, and legacy GL inefficiencies, driving digital automation solutions across financial control workflows.
• Represent Finance Transformation in key cross-functional projects, including system upgrades, core banking migration/enhancements, and sub-ledger deployments.
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of end-to-end mapping architecture, system interfaces, and operational controls for internal stakeholders and auditors.
• Act as the Finance Data Steward for key financial data domains, ensuring clear ownership, accountability, and effective data governance.
• Define and maintain Critical Data Elements (CDEs) across Finance, maintain the data glossary and the metadata repository for Finance, ensuring consistent interpretation and usage.
• Establish and monitor Finance Data Quality (DQ) rules, Controls, and KPIs, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders to investigate and remediate identified DQ issues.
• Actively contribute to a high-performing team environment through knowledge sharing, peer collaboration, and supporting team goals.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Financial Information Systems. A professional qualification (SOCPA, CPA, ACCA) is preferred.
• Experience in financial accounting, COA management, or finance transformation within banking or financial institutions in Saudi Arabia.
• Hands-on experience administering Oracle GL (COA hierarchies, cross-validation rules, mapping modules) is preferred.
• Direct experience with Core Banking System interface design, transactional flows, and GL extracts.
• Strong affinity for digital finance tools, data mapping automation, and system integration projects.
• Working knowledge of Central Bank reporting guidelines and regulatory requirements.
• Deep practical understanding of IFRS and their structural impact on financial reporting.
