Project Risk Section Head

About the Role

Hill International (KSA) is seeking a Project Risk Section Head to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time position is responsible for establishing and managing comprehensive risk management frameworks for projects, ensuring compliance with company policies, and fostering a culture of risk awareness among project staff.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop risk management standards, policies, and procedures.
• Establish and manage the program risk management plan.
• Identify, assess, monitor, and report risks within projects.
• Create risk reports for Project Managers.
• Review the accuracy of risk scoring and the adequacy of risk mitigation plans.
• Facilitate the completion and updating of the Project Risk Register.
• Analyze and monitor the progress of management actions by each risk owner.
• Train and educate project staff to create continuous awareness for risk management.
• Take ownership of the Risk Database.
• Generate monthly reports for risk meetings with client representatives.
• Prepare ad-hoc risk management reports as required.
• Prepare and implement a risk management plan for construction projects, outlining processes to mitigate risks, including identification, evaluation, and mitigation procedures.
• Conduct risk workshops and risk assessments on projects during the execution phase.
• Conduct meetings with clients, consultants, and contractors to identify, assess, and evaluate risk issues arising from different phases in the project lifecycle.

Compliance and Reporting

The Project Risk Section Head will ensure continuous compliance with Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies, Manuals, and Procedures. This role also involves generating various risk reports for internal and external stakeholders, including monthly reports for client meetings and ad-hoc reports as needed.

Experience and Qualifications

• A minimum of 10 years of experience in project risk management is required.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and implement risk management plans and procedures.
• Experience in conducting risk assessments and workshops.

Additional Duties

The Project Risk Section Head will perform other duties as assigned by the line manager or supervisor, contributing to the overall success and risk mitigation efforts of the projects.
