This QA Engineer internship is a real engineering role with significant responsibility, not a course or shadowing program.

Role Overview

The QA Engineer Intern will join the Process Engineering team, which is part of Risk and Credit. This team is responsible for building and managing Tabby's automated business workflows on an internal automation platform. The primary purpose of this role is to ensure the reliability of these automations by testing changes, identifying failures early, and investigating issues when they occur. This internship focuses on validating, monitoring, debugging, and reporting within a production environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Release Validation and Regression Testing: Execute smoke and regression tests before workflow and system releases. Verify bug fixes and configuration changes, maintain release sign-off checklists, and track testing status for full visibility.
• Bug Investigation and Triage: Reproduce reported issues, isolate trigger conditions, and pinpoint their origin within workflows. Inspect API requests/responses, read application logs, and gather evidence for escalation. Write reproducible bug reports and triage incoming reports from business teams.
• Automated Workflow Monitoring: Monitor the health of running automations and integrations to detect failures proactively. Investigate failed or stuck runs to determine causes (configuration, integration, or system defect). Perform guided re-runs and recovery steps for known failure patterns and track recurring failures.
• Test Cases and Documentation: Execute, review, and update existing test cases as workflows evolve. Maintain current test data, environment notes, and process documentation. Identify coverage gaps and propose new test cases. Contribute to a shared knowledge base of issues and debugging playbooks.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with business stakeholders, system analysts, product managers, and engineers to confirm expected behavior and validate fixes. Communicate testing status and blockers clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Support end-users during workflow changes by verifying real-world scenarios.

Candidate Profile

This internship is suitable for a recent graduate with 0-1 years of experience. Candidates should possess a strong attention to detail, a persistent curiosity to investigate issues, and sufficient technical comfort to read scripts or call endpoints without intimidation. The role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Internship Details

This is a paid, six-month internship funded by Tabby, commencing in autumn 2026. Interns will be fully integrated into the Process Engineering team within Risk and Credit, working on real production tasks under senior review. The team operates in a distributed environment across multiple countries. While not guaranteed, the internship aims to provide a path to a junior role on the team, dependent on performance.
