About the Role

Al Omar Holding is seeking an experienced QA/QC Engineer to join its Projects Department in Riyadh. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring all construction works adhere to approved drawings, technical specifications, contract requirements, the Saudi Building Code, and internal quality standards. The position involves overseeing site inspections, material approvals, testing, non-conformance management, and quality reporting across residential, commercial, and multi-storey building projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement the company’s Quality Management System and prepare, update, and monitor Project Quality Plans.
• Prepare, review, and implement Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) and Method Statements.
• Conduct daily site inspections and quality walkthroughs, verifying compliance with approved designs, specifications, and workmanship standards.
• Raise, track, and follow up on Inspection Requests and attend inspections with consultants, clients, and subcontractors.
• Monitor field and laboratory test results and ensure materials are approved before site use.
• Inspect structural, architectural, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP-related works.
• Issue Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for non-compliant works or materials and follow up on Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA).
• Prepare weekly and monthly quality reports, maintain comprehensive inspection records, quality logs, and material approvals.
• Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Technical Office, consultants, clients, and subcontractors to resolve quality issues and ensure compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum 8 years of QA/QC experience in construction projects.
• Proven experience in villas, residential compounds, multi-storey residential buildings, or similar projects.
• Strong knowledge of the Saudi Building Code and relevant construction standards.
• Practical experience in concrete, blockwork, waterproofing, finishing, and MEP inspections.
• Experience dealing with consultants, clients, subcontractors, and testing laboratories.
• ISO 9001 Internal Auditor certification is preferred; Lead Auditor certification is an advantage.

Technical and Personal Skills

• Strong ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.
• Experience preparing and reviewing ITPs and Method Statements, and practical experience in NCR and CAPA management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for quality reports) and AutoCAD. Familiarity with ERP systems, including Odoo, is preferred.
• Strong communication, coordination, reporting, documentation, and analytical skills.
• High attention to detail, problem-solving, and root-cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work under pressure, manage multiple project priorities, and strong time-management skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• Experience coordinating inspections with consultants and reviewing material submittals, technical approvals, and test reports.
• Demonstrated ability in issuing, managing, and closing NCRs, CAPA, and inspection requests.
• Proven track record in reducing rework and improving first-pass inspection outcomes.
• Experience preparing comprehensive weekly and monthly quality reports.

Additional Requirements

• Must be eligible to work in Saudi Arabia.
• Familiarity with ISO 9001 Quality Management System principles and experience with root-cause analysis.
• Able to conduct regular site inspections, walk construction sites, and work in an active construction environment.
