About the Role

Parsons Corporation is seeking a QA/QC Engineer (Saudi National) to join its site team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position supports a significant public realm development project in Diriyah.

Project Context

The project involves a major public realm development that includes a series of iconic and neighborhood parks, open spaces, and over 55 kilometers of streetscape. The primary objective of this program is to establish a vibrant, inclusive environment designed to enhance livability, accessibility, and overall community well-being.

Key Responsibilities

  • Review contractor material submittals and secure required approvals in accordance with applicable standards and project specifications.
  • Serve as the primary contact for scheduling and controlling construction materials and equipment at the job site.
  • Conduct inspections to verify that work has been executed in compliance with contract specifications.
  • Coordinate the work of subconsultants for material testing.
  • Maintain office files related to the project and material inspections, and prepare daily diaries.
  • Prepare daily reports and other documentation as required by the contract.
  • Verify that only approved materials are incorporated into the work.
  • Identify potential conflicts, issues, and problems related to construction materials, reporting them to the supervisor with proposed solutions.
  • Collect, review, and file Certificates of Compliance, Material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS), inspection tags, and other relevant material information.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior-level staff as needed.
  • Participate in the development of job safety practices and the preparation of safety reports.
  • Contribute to the development of quality control reports and procedures.
  • Perform mathematical calculations for engineering computations, graphs, and charts.
  • Observe, check, and record work execution to ensure adherence to approved methods.
  • Verify that delivered materials are as approved and properly stored.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, with at least 5 years specifically as a material engineer in infrastructure projects.
  • Experience in the operations and maintenance of roads, highways, and bridges in domestic and/or international locations.
  • Proficiency in English grammar and composition, with the ability to communicate clearly both orally and in writing.
  • Capability to follow oral and written instructions.
  • Skill in preparing written messages, simple charts, and graphs.

Essential Skills

  • Ability to comply with a multitude of requirements applicable to the project, based on client and industry standards.
  • Capacity to recognize hazardous work conditions and take appropriate action when necessary.
  • Demonstrated good judgment and the ability to work effectively with others.

Work Environment and Eligibility

This is a full-time position located in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. Applicants must be Saudi Nationals to be considered for this role.
