About the Role

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Quality Engineer (Site Operations) to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role is crucial for ensuring that construction projects adhere to all quality control and quality assurance procedures on-site. The successful candidate will collaborate with the site management team, contractors, and stakeholders to maintain compliance with specifications, standards, and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor quality control processes for on-site construction activities, ensuring work aligns with approved plans, drawings, and specifications.
• Perform site inspections and coordinate the testing of materials, equipment, and processes to ensure compliance with quality standards, accurately recording and reporting results.
• Identify and document deviations or non-conformance issues, working with site teams to resolve quality-related issues and ensure corrective and preventive actions are taken.
• Maintain clear and accurate records of inspections, tests, reports, and non-conformance issues, preparing and submitting regular quality control reports to project and senior management.
• Liaise with contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure quality standards are met during construction and to resolve any quality-related concerns.
• Support internal and external audits to ensure compliance with project specifications, local regulations, and international standards, such as ISO 9001.
• Assist in identifying areas for improvement in quality processes and contribute to initiatives aimed at enhancing the overall quality of project delivery.
• Ensure that all quality-related concerns from clients and stakeholders are addressed promptly and professionally, supporting client inspections and reviews as required.
• Provide quality awareness training to site teams, ensuring all personnel are familiar with the project's quality requirements and procedures.

Candidate Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8+ years of experience in quality engineering, including 2-3 years in site-based roles within construction projects.
• Strong technical skills, including knowledge of quality management systems (QMS), construction industry standards, ISO 9001, material testing, site inspections, and quality assurance processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrated high attention to detail, a proactive approach, collaborative spirit, and adaptability.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Quality Management (*, Six Sigma, Lean, or CQI).
• Knowledge of construction regulations and industry standards.
• Experience with large-scale construction projects.
• Familiarity with sustainable construction practices.
