Quality Technician

About the Role

Al Watania For Industries is seeking a Quality Technician to join their manufacturing team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 years of experience who are detail-oriented and committed to maintaining high-quality standards across various product lines, including plastic, CAN making (steel & metal), and paper products.

Role Purpose

The Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring that all raw materials, in-process production, and finished products meet specified quality standards. This involves conducting inspections, performing tests, and accurately documenting results to support overall quality assurance within the manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect raw materials, in-process production, and finished products against established specifications.
• Perform tests and measurements using calibrated instruments and gauges.
• Record inspection results accurately and report any deviations immediately.
• Identify non-conforming products, assist in root cause analysis, and follow up on corrective actions.
• Approve first-piece and line startups following setups and changeovers.
• Support quality audits and maintain comprehensive quality documentation.
• Adhere to all safety procedures and housekeeping standards consistently.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Technical diploma or equivalent in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, or a related field.
• Ability to use measuring tools such as calipers, micrometers, and thickness gauges.
• Ability to read basic technical drawings and product specifications.
• Strong record-keeping skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to work shifts.

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 or food-contact quality standards.
• Experience with quality checks on production lines during changeovers.

This role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a manufacturing setting. The Quality Technician will work as part of a dedicated team, ensuring adherence to quality protocols across various production lines.
