Rolling Stock Technician

About the Role

CAMCO - Capital Metro Company is seeking a Rolling Stock Technician to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves executing preventive and corrective maintenance on Rolling Stock (RST) equipment, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and international benchmarks. The role requires 2-5 years of experience and involves direct responsibility for RST vehicle movements within the depot area.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute preventive and corrective maintenance, including repairing systems, in accordance with instructions from supervisors.
• Conduct tasks according to established work schedules and periodic maintenance plans.
• Prepare materials, tools, and workshop equipment necessary for maintenance activities.
• Document failures and submit reports to superiors via the CMMS.
• Assist the RST Shift Supervisor with assigned tasks.
• Operate special tools, equipment, measuring devices, and maintenance vehicles for repair tasks.
• Repair RST assets in conformance with current technical documentation.
• Perform safety and operational checks on railway vehicles before and after shunting.
• Coordinate and shunt trains from handover tracks to maintenance workspaces, either manually or using a shunting vehicle.
• Manage train power-up and shut-down operations, including switching components (HVAC, lights) before and after shunting.
• Connect and disconnect railway vehicles from fixed or mobile workshop 750V DC power supplies or charging units.
• Drive emergency response vehicles on the service line during rescue situations.

Qualifications and Experience

• Vocational training in Electrical, Electronics, or Mechanical fields (*, electrician, wireman, machinist, refrigeration and air conditioning mechanic, machine tool maintenance mechanic).
• 2-5 years of experience in the maintenance of complex technical systems, preferably within railway/metro RST operation and maintenance organizations.
• Service experience in metro train systems from a contractor/sub-contractor (OEM) side, particularly in brake systems, HVAC, TMS, propulsion, door, bogie & suspension systems, is also considered.
• Experience in handling the operation and maintenance of Depot Workshop Equipment is an advantage.

Work Environment

This role is based in Riyadh and operates within a full-time capacity, focusing on the maintenance and operational aspects of rolling stock within the depot environment.
