About the Role

Hill International (KSA) is seeking a Scheduling Control Section Head to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time position requires a professional with extensive experience in planning and scheduling, particularly on large-scale projects, to lead the scheduling control function and ensure project adherence to timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and maintain project schedules using industry-standard software.
Monitor and track project progress, ensuring adherence to schedule milestones and contract requirements.
Identify and analyze potential risks and delays, developing strategies for mitigation.
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and up-to-date project schedules.
Provide regular reports and updates on project schedules to management and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, quality standards, and relevant Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health Policies.
Observe existing processes, analyze staff performance, and address deficiencies.
Train and mentor scheduling control staff.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize project schedules and resource allocation.
Stay informed of industry trends and best practices in project scheduling and control.
Perform other duties as assigned by the line manager/supervisor.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited university.
Minimum of 20 years of experience in planning and scheduling, including experience as a scheduling manager on large-scale projects.
Demonstrated experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, including schedule development, control, and analysis, both in the field and home office.
Advanced knowledge of engineering, procurement, contracts, construction, and startup work processes.
Professional proficiency in scheduling software such as Primavera P6 and EPPM platform.

Required Skills

Strong leadership capabilities to manage the section and allocate workload effectively.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Knowledge of supervision, personnel administration, and training for technical and non-technical personnel.
Ability to plan, organize, direct, perform, review, and present schedule products independently with minimal supervision, utilizing professional judgment and technical planning and scheduling skills.
