The Opportunity: Senior Accounting Consultant

J&G Group is seeking a Senior Accounting Consultant to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leading and delivering critical accounting, financial reporting, and advisory engagements for a diverse client base. The position requires a professional who can combine hands-on technical expertise with effective client management and staff development.

Role Overview and Impact

The Senior Accounting Consultant will be responsible for managing engagements for clients across various sectors, including Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (SMEs), organizations requiring Full IFRS compliance, and non-profit entities. A core aspect of this role is ensuring that all deliverables adhere strictly to IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, and SOCPA-adopted standards, as well as all relevant KSA regulatory requirements, including those set by ZATCA (Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority) and the Companies Law.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements in accordance with IFRS and IFRS for SMEs, ensuring accuracy and compliance with SOCPA-adopted standards.
• Manage client engagements comprehensively, including bookkeeping, payment processes, review and tracking of trade receivables and payables, fixed assets management, and maintaining the primary client relationship.
• Provide expert technical accounting and financial reporting advice, specifically on the application of IFRS standards to various transactions.
• Review and support the work of junior consultants and associates, offering training and ensuring quality control over all deliverables.
• Support ZATCA compliance activities, including Zakat, Withholding Tax (WHT), and Value Added Tax (VAT), and coordinate with external auditors as necessary.
• Prepare and present clear, concise reports, memos, and recommendations to clients.
• Identify opportunities for additional services within existing client relationships and contribute to the development of new proposals.

Required Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for this Senior Accounting Consultant position should possess 5 to 10 years of relevant experience in accounting, financial reporting, and advisory services. A strong understanding of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs, SOCPA standards, and KSA regulatory frameworks (ZATCA, Companies Law) is essential. The role requires proven ability in financial statement preparation, client engagement management, and staff supervision.
