Senior CAD/GIS Specialist Metro

About the Role

Egis is seeking a Senior CAD/GIS Specialist Metro to join its Metro Project Management and Construction Management team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves leveraging advanced technical expertise in computer-aided design and geographic information systems to support the planning, design, and execution of metro infrastructure projects. The specialist will be responsible for creating detailed technical drawings, analyzing spatial data, and coordinating with project teams.

Role Context and Contribution

As a senior-level technician, this position contributes to project success by ensuring adherence to technical standards and providing guidance to junior technicians. The role is integral to translating design requirements into precise technical documentation and maintaining accurate project data for stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain comprehensive CAD models and technical drawings for metro infrastructure projects using industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Conduct spatial analysis and create detailed GIS maps to support project planning, design, and decision-making processes.
• Manage and organize project data, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with established technical standards and protocols.
• Coordinate with engineering, project management, and construction teams to translate design requirements into precise technical documentation.
• Analyze project requirements and provide technical recommendations to optimize design efficiency and feasibility.
• Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior CAD/GIS technicians, fostering professional development and maintaining quality standards.
• Prepare and update project databases, ensuring all spatial and design information is current and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
• Conduct quality assurance reviews of technical drawings and GIS data to identify and resolve discrepancies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate CAD and GIS data for comprehensive project visualization and analysis.
• Document technical processes, maintain project records, and generate reports as required for project tracking and compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated advanced technical expertise in computer-aided design (CAD) and geographic information systems (GIS).
• Proficiency in industry-standard software such as AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
• Experience in supporting planning, design, and execution of infrastructure projects.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience is required for this senior-level position.
