The Opportunity: Senior Civil Site Engineer

Mohammad Al Habib Real Estate is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Site Engineer to join our project team. This full-time role is based on the construction site for a landmark high-rise development in Riyadh and Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct execution, coordination, and delivery of civil, structural, and supporting architectural works. The primary objective is to ensure that all construction activities are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with project specifications and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Act as the Main Contractor's/Developer's site engineer, taking full responsibility for direct execution, resourcing, and delivery of civil and structural works.
• Supervise and execute civil and structural works, including substructure, superstructure, concrete works, and waterproofing, as per approved drawings and specifications.
• Support and contribute to the execution and coordination of architectural works.
• Review structural drawings, shop drawings, and method statements for civil works prior to execution.
• Conduct and record formal site work inspections at each construction stage (excavation, formwork, reinforcement, concrete pour, backfilling) before sign-off and progression.
• Coordinate with quality, safety, and planning teams to ensure civil and architectural works progress according to schedule and standards.
• Monitor material and workmanship quality against project specifications and the Saudi Building Code.
• Manage direct labor crews and/or subcontractors performing civil and architectural works, and verify progress and quantities for payment certification.
• Prepare and verify quantity take-offs and measurement of executed works for interim payment certificates and variation/change order evaluation.
• Coordinate directly with the Technical Team and design consultants on RFIs, site queries, and design clarifications.
• Supervise and mentor Civil Engineers and site labor assigned to respective work fronts.
• Maintain daily site records, progress reports, and as-built documentation.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety requirements during civil and architectural works activities.

Required Technical Expertise

• Proven experience in high-rise tower projects.
• Strong background in reinforced concrete structures, including substructure, superstructure, and architectural works.
• In-depth understanding of project specifications and the Saudi Building Code for quality and compliance monitoring.
• Experience may have been gained anywhere within the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

Qualifications and Professional Attributes

• A minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience in civil engineering roles.
• Demonstrated hands-on site leadership and the ability to manage subcontractors, direct labor, and multidisciplinary coordination throughout all construction phases.
• Previous experience with leading developers or Tier-1 contractors is highly desirable.
• PMP certification is considered an advantage.
