Project Overview

This Senior Commercial Manager position is part of one of the largest development programmes in Saudi Arabia. The project involves a major mixed-use development, encompassing sports facilities, entertainment venues, arts complexes, and all associated infrastructure. Mace operates as a key delivery partner, seeking experienced professionals to lead integrated teams throughout each phase of this extensive programme.

The Senior Commercial Manager Role

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for directing critical commercial processes and ensuring effective cost management within a large-scale development. This full-time role requires leadership in contractual execution, financial reporting, and team performance, contributing to the successful delivery of the project in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Key Responsibilities

Direct the preparation and formal execution of contract documents, warranties, bonds, and licences with all relevant parties.
Lead large teams, driving performance, behaviours, and continuous improvement to achieve organisational Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
Oversee valuation measurement to ensure effective cost control, accurate forecasting, and precise commercial reporting.
Direct the production and client presentation of monthly post-contract cost reports.
Proactively identify cost impacts arising from design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client-driven requirements.
Oversee the evaluation of contractor and subcontractor claims related to delays and additional costs.
Direct the issuance of practical completion certificates and provide advice on making-good-defects and final completion requirements.
Lead Cost Consultants in enhancing cost management procedures, tools, and templates, promoting best practice, continuous improvement, and supporting net-zero carbon objectives.
